6. Multiplayer and Online Services

The Last Fairytale may use Epic Online Services (“EOS”)to support multiplayer functionality, including session creation, matchmaking, lobbies, relay connectivity, and player networking. To enable these features, the Game may create a local device identifier on your machine. This identifier is used only to help establish and maintain the connection to EOS or related online services and is not intended by Beer Tech Studios to be linked to your name, email address, or other directly identifying account information.

When playing through Steam, your Steam session credentials may be used by the platform and EOS for authentication. When playing through Epic Games Store, your Epic Games account credentials may be used. When playing through Xbox, your Xbox Live or Microsoft account credentials may be used. In each case, platform-level authentication is handled by the platform or service provider. Beer Tech Studios does not receive or store your platform account password.

During multiplayer or online sessions, the following categories of information may be processed to operate the feature: temporary session identifiers, local device identifiers, platform or account identifiers made available by the platform or EOS, approximate connection region for server or relay selection, IP address, network connectivity information, session metadata such as player count and session availability, and logs necessary to establish, secure, troubleshoot, or end the session.

We use this information to create and maintain sessions, match players, route connections, secure online play, diagnose network or service issues, prevent abuse or cheating, and improve service stability. We may share this information with Epic Games Inc. and other service providers only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the online functionality you choose to use. Epic processes EOS-related data under Epic’s own privacy terms. You can review Epic’s privacy policy at https://www.epicgames.com/privacypolicy.

Beer Tech Studios does not sell personal information collected through multiplayer or online play. Multiplayer session data is generally retained only for as long as needed to operate the live session, troubleshoot service issues, enforce policies, comply with legal obligations, or maintain reasonable security and abuse prevention records. Temporary session data is typically discarded when the session ends unless a longer retention period is required for security, fraud prevention, support, or legal compliance.

No separate Beer Tech Studios account is currently required to use online multiplayer features unless we explicitly introduce such an account system in the future.
